The Babalon Rising Festival is a place for occultists of all kinds to come together to discuss and perform magick and ritual, and to live the law of Thelema in a clothing optional, primitive camping environment. Babalon Rising encourages self exploration, spontaneous ritual, and lively magick.

Babalon Rising will have daily rituals, including Liber Resh vel Helios, The Gnostic Mass, and Saturday night's famous (infamous?) Feast of the Beast. The festival site includes hot showers, skinny-dipping facilities, limited electricity, a performance stage, holy shrines, private fire pits, and an on-site hot food vendor. We encourage festival-goers to bring a tent, sunscreen, and personal snacks and beverages. Clothing is optional! Vending is FREE with a regular paid admission to the festival.

Last year's guest speakers included the authors Lon Milo DuQuette, Donald Michael Kraig, Louis Martiniè, and Nema! For 2010 we're bringing back many of your favorite speakers from past festivals, along with exciting new names in occultism. You can view our full 2010 presenter list here. 2010's Babalon Rising festival promises to be even more exciting than last year's! For just a taste of what to expect at this year's festival, check out our ongoing list of festival events.

“Babalon Rising was serious Thelema all day,
and serious Agape all night.
It was the best outdoor festival I've ever attended.”
Lon Milo DuQuette
on the 2006 Babalon Rising Festival.
