Ford.

Dear Mr. Ford, could you briefly tell us how did you get into witchcraft at first place? What exactly drawn you on this field? Are there any authors that inspired you? Originally I started with the foundations of Satanism, moving through some various discipline-oriented groups, yet always as a solitary practitioner.
In 1994 I began working with Vampyrism and the Astral Plane. My work led to the writings of Kenneth Grant, whose works helped establish a practical understanding of Crowley, creativity and Magick.
I applied this type of creativity and the results were eye opening for me. In working with the Tunnels of Set in the Typhonian current, my Luciferian foundations were forming. Austin Osman Spare played a huge role in my workings as well. These two areas brought me to the Witches Sabbat, which became a new foundation for practice during those years of my formative initiation.

During your magical course, you had contacted various esoteric orders, such as the Order of Nine Angles. Why did you choose this order? Could you share with us your experience with this order? It is thought to be somewhat notorious, do you think this is valid?
The ONA was a valid source of initiation; my interest was the practical and advanced approach to Satanism, the strengthening of the self and the challenge of overcoming challenges. I was fortunate to have contact and some mentorship from Christos Beest, who was a talented artist. I never had any NS contact with Christos Beest, much of the NS ideas were from others.
As I grew to find ONA limited and many of its initiates were NS in ideals, I left and went on to the Typhonian and Zos Kia Cultus, which I found my next step in initiation.

Moving on, you founded your esoteric orders, the Black Order of the Dragon, and the Order of Phosphorus. Could you tell us a few things about the teachings and the structure of these orders?
The Black Order of the Dragon is a Vampyric – Magickal order I have been Magister and now Magus of since 1993 or so when I started my serious path as it is.
My work was a development from various vampire and astral sorcerous areas and has since expanded further.
The Order of Phosphorus is the Luciferian order I founded along with others in 2002 from a Luciferian Coven I was a High Priest of in Houston. I am now Magus in TOPH and develop various areas of it with the Priesthood and Council Arezura.
As of now, TOPH is expanding into a various serious and almost difficult order which instills discipline and focus through struggle with its initiates. The results are fantastic however.

In 2005 your book Luciferian Witchcraft was published, which immediately became best seller. We would be glad if you could talk a bit about this book. What led you to write this book, what does it refer to, and most important, what’s the feedback you got from your readers?
Luciferian Witchcraft was a combined magickal record and grimoires of several years’ practice. I had begun publishing smaller grimoires as I had felt that there was little creditable, creative and interesting left hand path material out there.
This was in 2002-2003 and it was during that time that Book of the Witch Moon was to be issued. No publisher wanted it, it was too “dark” so I was forced to do it myself – it worked well.
Luciferian Witchcraft is a grimoires outlining solitary Luciferian Sorcerous practice – not from a “devil worshipper” view point from someone applying it in a successful way in the world. It calls upon primal forces and establishes a foundation to work with such.
It is a best seller and reached at number 12 on all time best sellers from my publishing company – they have no other occult books in that category so I am very pleased.

In this work, you refer to the Persian term Yatuk Dinoih. Could you tell us few things about this kind of magic, about its origins and history, and also about its connections with modern western magical practice?
Yatuk Dinoih and the works contributed in other works –Gates of Dozak, Liber HVHI, Bible of the Adversary and such titles have redefined– went to the source – of the primal Adversarial current found in the Heretical sects of ancient Zoroastrian and Mithraic magickal works.
The Ahrimanic gnosis involves a complete ‘ensorcelling’ of belief and to really ‘get dirty’ in the process of sorcery. It will empower, change and stir you to new heights of spiritual and physical practice.
The darkness and predatory nature of the Daevas and Druj of the path are indeed realistic and considered vital in primal adversarial foundations. I have created a “Ateshgah” or fire temple/altar for Ahriman, using hair, serpent skin or such to consecrate the Black Flame of Ahriman.

You created the term Luciferian Witchcraft. What do you mean by that? And, what is the difference between this kind of witchcraft with other forms of magic?
Luciferian Witchcraft is a practice of left hand path oriented magick, aimed at creating Gods and Goddesses through their own self-directed sorcery.
The Luciferian realizes that he or she is responsible for their own initiation and gaining of wisdom, rather than looking upon daemons and such spirits as either Good or Evil, the Luciferian views this as merely circumstance and opinion, thus there is a balance of darkness and light.
Luciferians do not worship Satan yet we recognize this archetype no matter what mask it wears as a vital aspect of our being.

Do you believe that Devil is an actual being or do you consider him as a purely symbolic power, as Anton LaVey kind of asserted?
You must start with symbolism and how it relates to you, then move on from it and find your own truth, your own faith in self. I cannot assert the Adversary is merely a mental aspect or spiritual, it is up to the practitioner and their outlook verses experience.

In your work Book of the Witch Moon, you refer to the Nine Angles and to Varcolaci. Is there any connection with the gaze of the Shining Trapezoid that is described by Lovecraft in his short stories?
Yes indeed, I find the fiction of Lovecraft to be loosely based on actual grimoire traditions and aspects of primal atavisms and symbols, his works are amazing and I still love them to this day.
You may use symbolism of magick and sorcery with areas of fiction, as long as you realize the balance between such and how it is meaningful in your own obtainment of wisdom. It is all up to the mind and imagination.

What is your opinion on Cthulhu Mythos?
I adore the Chthulhu Mythos and find it some of my favorite horror fiction reading material. I actually have completed a fictional horror story and some other works which I will publish based on this avenue – a new thing for me.

A big part of your work has been dedicated to vampirism.
What does it mean to be a vampire, for you? What is vampiric witchcraft and how can it be developed?
Vampyrism first starts with the mind, how you look at things, how you interpret your life and what you do from there. It starts with discipline, determined actions which slowly creates a change in your being.
Vampyrism is control and the ability to feed from energies which are as strong as you are. In the beginning you will feed from the food chain, lower individuals until you have grown strong enough to drain energy from the sleeping and those you can take from. My book AKHKHARU gives all details for this practice.

Some so-called vampires actually drink blood because they think that it empowers them. Do you believe that there is something in blood, some undefined power that makes that possible?
You may directly obtain what you seek through astral or energy vampirism. It holds a greater power than blood drinking. Actually, ancient gods drank blood – it is a symbol of power, thus astral or spiritual vampirism is a direct association.

The well-known author Michelle Belanger, in her book The Psychic Vampire Codex refers to a series of moral codes that should be followed by a vampire. What is your opinion on this Codex?
Ms. Belanger is a well initiated practitioner who understands the responsibility and results of vampirism. She is well qualified to author the Codex.
While my own practices are different, even darker, she is still well respected in my work and by myself personally.

What should a person have in mind when he practices vampirism? Are there any ways for a person to protect oneself by a vampire attack?
The food chain is real, there is predator and prey. If one is initiated into vampirism, you must not attack another practitioner. You should absorb enough energy not to harm another, unless they have thwarted you, if so do what you feel drawn to.

What’s the general American belief for witchcraft? Unfortunately, here in Greece every kind of magic is automatically considered as Black Magic and maleficia!
Wicca, yet the public still cringe at the idea of the left hand path and paganism.

In your opinion, which should be the purpose of magic? Could magic be so extravagant as it is presented in the movies? Are its results perceptible only in the astral level or are they actually a psycho-dynamic process of self-evolution?
Magick is about ascending, transforming yourself into a vessel or image of the Gods, the Deific Masks and powers within nature and the universe.
Luciferians understand all power comes from within and to ascend and become, we must transform ourselves into that which we seek. All magick must validated in results in the physical world and mental world – there is a balance.

Would you like to share with us your weirdest paranormal experience ever?
I have had a lot over the years, doors opening and closing, animals hissing and growling at empty space, voices, astral projections and let’s not even get into the invocations/evocations. It has been quite an adventure thus far!

Could tell us a few words about your daily life? What’s a vampire-magician’s daily life like?
I am a busy individual, I wake very early and work with my business, writing and managing part of Luciferian Apotheca and our publishing area. I have a daily process of Magickal work I conduct and it is very intense. I exercise and keep fit and have 5 snakes I take care of daily.

After so many years of a successful career, if you had the opportunity to change something in your life or in your books, would you change anything?
Mostly no, the only thing would be that I could have sharpened my early initiatory focus earlier. I dislike analyzing my past as it is useless beyond an understanding foundation point.

Are you currently preparing a new book? Would like to tell us few things about it?
I have several new books – one specifically reasserting Paganism and the Old Gods (Baal, Zeus, Typhon, Artemis, Hecate, Apollo) from a Left hand path and Luciferian perspective, there are so many rites, offering prayers and simple methods to connect with these ancient gods.
This book is called Magick of the Ancient Gods: Chthonic & Left Hand Path Paganism and is available.
Another is one on Babylonian-Chaldean demonology with some blood magick as well as several other titles.

Keep up the good work!
